A expressão consta de carta publicada, e depois apagada, nas redes sociais de Flávio.

De acordo com Marinho, a versão “definitiva” da carta é a publicada após o recuo, em que Flávio refere-se a si mesmo como “líder do Brasil”.

Em relação à alegação de fraudes do processo eleitoral, que Flávio manteve em todas as versões, sem indicar provas, o coordenador da campanha de Flávio evitou questionar o pleito. “O PL não pode fazer essa afirmação, nem eu, porque não há provas”, declarou o senador. O partido reconheceu publicamente a vitória de Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).

Marinho afirmou ainda que o “direito de se resignar” está garantido e classificou o tom de Flávio como um “desabafo de quem está se sentindo injustiçado” e reforçou a narrativa de quem houve abuso de poder na chapa de Lula.

Marinho reconheceu a derrota, mas pediu respeito aos 60 milhões de votos recebidos pelo candidato do PL: “Pelo número de votos que teve, Flávio é a maior figura de direita no Brasil”, afirmou.

Em relação à declaração do presidente Donald Trump, que disse que não iria comentar a carta de Flávio, Marinho disse que não esperava intervenção externa: “Sobre a declaração do Trump, achamos que quem tem que resolver os problemas do Brasil são os brasileiros”, declarou.

Já o líder do governo no Congresso Nacional, senador Randolfe Rodrigues (PT-AP), classificou a medida como uma conspiração. “Só tem um nome para essa declaração do candidato derrotado nas eleições de domingo. Ataque à soberania nacional. É conspiração contra o Brasil, é crime de lesa-pátria”, declarou.

Randolfe também rechaçou a tese de perseguição política: “Qual é a perseguição que há a alguém que está sendo investigado por graves crimes que foram relatados contra ele e que teria, depois da fase da investigação, direito à ampla defesa, ao contraditório e à presunção de inocência?”, questionou o senador.
