A Baires Fly foi fundada em 1996 e hoje é uma das principais operadoras de voos privados da Argentina. O empresário da aviação Luis Grande é identificado como fundador e diretor suplente da Baires Fly, atualmente presidida por Marcela Mabel Racana.

Entre seus passageiros estão presidentes argentinos, como Javier Milei, Mauricio Macri, Alberto Fernández e Cristina Kirchner. Segundo reportagem do elDiarioAR publicada em 2025, a empresa operava cerca de dez aeronaves e empregava aproximadamente 80 pessoas.

A Baires Fly oferece voos executivos e sanitários, além de realizar operações aéreas para o Instituto Nacional Central Único Coordenador de Ablação e Implante (Incucai), órgão argentino responsável pela coordenação das atividades de doação e transplante de órgãos no país.

A companhia também oferece hangaragem e serviços de apoio aeroportuário, como abastecimento, movimentação de aeronaves, assistência em solo e coordenação de procedimentos migratórios.

Learjet 35, com capacidade para 6 passageiros; Learjet 60, com capacidade de até 8 passageiros; Gulfstream G400, com capacidade de até 13 passageiros – modelo utilizado por Bolsonaro e sua família; Gulfstream GV, com capacidade de 14 passageiros.

Ainda em seu site, a companhia garante "privacidade total" para os dados e movimentações de seus clientes e que cada deslocamento é coordenado em detalhes "para que cada viagem pareça verdadeiramente feita sob medida."

A Baires Fly aceita que animais de estimação viagem em seus aviões e também oferece um menu de catering personalizado ao gosto do cliente e opções de entretenimento a bordo.

O nome da companhia aparece em uma investigação de lavagem de dinheiro envolvendo Sergio Daniel Mastropietro, corretor do setor aeronáutico acusado de utilizar notas fiscais em nome da empresa para justificar transferências financeiras suspeitas. A Baires Fly, porém, não está entre os acusados no processo.

A Baires Fly passou a aparecer nas investigações relacionadas ao escândalo da Agência Nacional de Deficiência (Andis), que ganhou repercussão em agosto de 2025, após a divulgação de áudios atribuídos ao então diretor do órgão, Diego Spagnuolo, ex-advogado do presidente Javier Milei. Os áudios levantaram suspeitas sobre pagamentos ilegais em contratações do órgão e mencionavam Karina Milei, irmã do presidente e secretária-geral da Presidência.

A investigação conduzida pelo Ministério Público argentino apura suspeitas de direcionamento de contratos públicos, superfaturamento na aquisição de medicamentos e equipamentos médicos, pagamento de propinas e posterior ocultação da origem desses recursos.

Segundo o La Nación, notas fiscais emitidas em nome da Baires Fly teriam sido utilizadas para justificar transferências financeiras feitas por fornecedoras envolvidas nas contratações suspeitas.

Em agosto de 2025, Sergio Mastropietro teria encaminhado a Miguel Ángel Calvete dados bancários de uma conta atribuída à Baires Fly. No mês seguinte, segundo a investigação, fornecedoras da Andis, realizaram transferências milionárias para uma conta atribuída à operadora aérea.

As movimentações teriam sido justificadas por notas fiscais emitidas em nome da Baires Fly, referentes à compra antecipada de quilômetros de voo para utilização em aeronaves da empresa. A Justiça argentina investiga se essas operações foram utilizadas para ocultar a origem de recursos obtidos em contratos públicos supostamente superfaturados.

Em outubro de 2026, a investigação avançou contra Mastropietro, que passou a responder as acusações de lavagem de dinheiro agravada e associação ilícita.

Além disso, Mastropietro manteve relações comerciais com Federico Andrés Machado, empresário argentino do setor de aviação que, em agosto de 2026, foi declarado culpado pela Justiça dos Estados Unidos por conspiração para cometer lavagem de dinheiro e fraude eletrônica, após admitir sua responsabilidade criminal em um acordo com a acusação. Machado também havia sido acusado de envolvimento com o narcotráfico internacional, mas essa acusação ficou de fora do acordo judicial.

Os dois foram sócios na empresa So Vain S.A. e registros bancários examinados pela imprensa argentina também apontaram que Mastropietro movimentou mais de US$ 800 mil por meio de um instrumento financeiro associado a Machado.
